WWF Byte This! Report for 8/19/99 (w/The Rock) -They started out the show talking a little but about Summer Slam and the kiss my ass match. They also talked a little bit about how the two wrestlers match up in the ring and interview wise. -The Rocks says he looking to go out at Summer Slam and entertain the masses, and lay the smack down on Billy Gunn's candy ass. He also says Billy is trying to make a name off the Rock. -The Rock says he has elevated his interviewing skills in the last couple of weeks, and his character appears to his fans as a man who likes to constantly change and entertain the audience. And he doesn't care if you like it or not. -They talked about how the Rock's character has changed since he started in the WWF. The Rock says the success of a character is his evolution. He always tries to better himself in and out of the ring. -First question from a fan was if he was going to return to Miami to be a guest at his old college during a football game? He says he is currently in negations with his old college, so we will see what happens. -They talked about HHH current success, and the Rock says HHH has worked hard to get where he is, but it's up to Hunter to take the brass ring. The Rock believes HHH being able to carry the ball so to speak as WWF champion is yet to be seen. -A caller asked if the Rock is going to feud with Chris Jericho? The Rock says maybe down the line, but probably not in the near future, but will see. -Lucas asked if the Rock if he will look to Hollywood somewhere down the line in his career? The Rock says yeah down the line he will look to Hollywood, but for now he has a passion for what he's doing in the WWF. - Lucas asks the Rock about an Internet rumor about him and Austin getting into a fight back stage with Steve Austin in Columbia, South Carolina. The Rock said Austin wasn't even at that show, and you should take what you read on the Internet with a grain of salt. -www.the rock.com will be debuting soon. -A caller asked how the Rock likes working with X Pac and the Road Dogg in the ring? The Rocks says he enjoys working with X Pac, but the Road Dogg he really doesn't care for in and out of the ring. The Rock says the Road Dogg is the perfect example of what jealousy can be. That was the end of the interview with the Rock. A few more callers called in, but nothing new was covered. |
